Petition to Remove Amitabh “Coronavirus Caller Tune”

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has enjoyed the fandom throughout his life but this pandemic has mired him in difficulties. A petition has been filed to remove Amitabh Bachchan’s voice from the caller tune in India, chanting precautions for coronavirus.

The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Delhi High Court to remove the voice of the star from the caller tune defining precautionary measures to combat the novel coronavirus.

The claims have been made that the star himself was affected by the virus along with his family. The petition was filed by a Delhi resident and social worker named Rakesh.

“The government of India has been paying fees to Amitabh Bachchan for chanting preventive measures on the caller ringtone”, Rakesh maintained.

The petition holds that the government of India has been paying Amitabh for chanting the precautionary measures while the celebrity was unable to prevent himself from the coronavirus.

“There are some corona warriors who have been doing great service to the nation and helping poor and needy people in these times as well as providing them food, cloth, and shelter and it is very indispensable to mention herein that some corona warriors have distributed their hard earnings among the poor”.

Rakesh claimed that some famous corona warriors were willing to provide their services free of cost.

The petitioner first requested the authorities in November 2020, however, no action was taken.

Later, Rakesh approached the court with his petition and the bench has listed the matter for January 18.
