Princess Charlene Returns to Monaco After Long Absence
Her last public appearance with Albert in Monaco was in January, on August 25, she posted photos with her husband and children on Instagram.
After many months away from her family in South Africa, Princess Charlene of Monaco has been back in the Principality since Monday.
The former swimmer has been able to reconnect with her husband and her two children after having stayed for six months in their country of origin due to complications suffered as a result of an ENT infection contracted in May and that prevented her from flying by plane to take the return flight .
According to the official explanations offered by the principality, her eardrums could not withstand the pressure of the height.

The local newspaper Nice Matin said that Charlene landed in Nice and from there she went to Monaco, where her family waited for her with a bouquet of flowers at the helipad. According to that newspaper, the four had not been together since last August.
The long absence unleashed insistent rumors of separation from the marriage, fed by some members close to the family and opposed to Charlene. In all that time, the mother of the heirs to the Monegasque throne took refuge in her religious faith.
The princess herself arrived from South Africa with a new image, much slimmer, with darker hair and slightly longer than her the last time she was seen in Europe.
Princess Charlene was wearing a sand-colored knitted midi dress, a wide black coat and flat boots in the same color. She also returned accompanied by a new dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, who appears in one of those images. Nice Matin points out that his name is Khan and points out that she received it as a gift after the death of her Chihuahua in October.
Charlene, 43, a former Olympic swimmer, fell ill in her native South Africa on an official trip in May focused on wildlife conservation and fighting poaching. Since then she has had to undergo at least three operations, some of them under general anesthesia.
On her 10th wedding anniversary, last July, she was still convalescing. “This year will be the first year that I will not be with my husband on our anniversary in July, which is difficult and saddens me,” she lamented in a statement in June, according to which the daily conversations with her family were helping her a lot to maintain the mood.
In early September she had to be admitted to a Durban hospital for a new medical emergency.
Prince Albert announced just a few days ago that Charlene’s return home was imminent and that his wife would be by her side before the national holiday in Monaco. This celebration will take place on November 19 and will predictably allow Charlene to resume her institutional agenda.
