On the other hand, Javed Iqbal, which won two awards at the British Asian Festival is also seeking permission to exhibit
Film director Ali Raza says that three years ago he made a film on the subject of sexual harassment in madrassas, but it has not been allowed to be shown to date.
In a message on his official Twitter handle, Ali Raza said, “Alongside Joyland. My own film has not been allowed to be screened here for the past three years.”
Forget JoyLand. I made a film in Lahore on increasing sexual harassment cases by Maulvis while teaching Quran.
Contacted every private screening Avenue in Lahore and even Islamabad.

He questioned what subject the filmmakers should make the film in Pakistan.
The director of the film Muskurao said that he contacted every private screening avenue in Lahore and Islamabad for the screening of his film, but due to the sensitive topic, the screening could not take place.
Like Muskurao, the film Javed Iqbal directed by Ali Sajjad Shah (Abu Aleeha) has not been allowed to be released in the country. The film is made about the accused who raped 100 children.
Javed Iqbal, a serial killer who appeared in Lahore two decades ago, killed nearly 100 children after sexually harassing them and throwing their bodies in acid.
The film “Javed Iqbal – The Untold Story of a Serial Killer” seeking permission to be screened in Pakistan had won two awards at the British Asian Festival, while it was banned in its own country.
