PTV Stepped Out of Deficits, Generates Profit in Billions
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry vowed they are going to break all profit records next year
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, while putting another feather in his hat, announced that PTV has finally started generating profits after spending decades in deficit.
The minister shared a post on Twitter that said, “After a long deficit, Pakistan Television is making a profit of Rs 1.3 billion this year”.

He congratulated the management and the workers of PTV in his post.

Fawad Chaudhry also expressed disappointment that the channel faced a huge loss due to tour cancellation by England and New Zealand cricket teams.
However, he vowed they are going to break all profit records next year.
The news came up as glad tidings for the nation as the state channel was in deficit for the past many years.
The social media users started sharing congratulatory posts but a minor chunk also mentioned the television fee of Rs 35 in the comments.
