Snubbing Rivalry, PTV Producing Content on Mirza Ghalib

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced that PTV Sports and Entertainment are now being revamped and the state channel is going to produce two new series including one on Indian national poet Mirza Ghalib.

The minister took to his Twitter and revealed that PTV, in collaboration with Uzbekistan, is going to produce series on Mughal Emperor Babar and the poet Mirza Ghalib.

Ghalib was bestowed with the title of ‘Dabir-ul-Mulk’ by Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar.

Fawad Chaudhry, since his reappointment as the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has been laying out plans to upgrade PTV and the announcement is also a part of the strive.

The news was well-received by the social media users and most of them were of the view that Pakistan considers no boundaries when it comes to literature.

The users praised that Pakistan is going to produce content on Indian national poet Mirza Ghalib despite the rivalry between both states.
