Actor Adnan Siddiqui has expressed outrage and disappointment over the process of Punjab by-polls and termed ‘theatre of the absurd’.
He wrote on Twitter, “Punjab by-polls nothing but theatre of the absurd. New CM chosen undemocratically. Abuse of power. Govt has undermined people’s faith in elections.”

Adnan Siddiqui is considered as an individual who likes democracy. He has never been a supporter of any particular party and he also criticised former prime minister Imran Khan in the past, while, he also met former premier Nawaz Sharif in the United Kingdom (UK).
Earlier, singers Shehzad Roy and Bilal Maqsood also expressed their regret over the jokes that had been witnessed in the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) election.
