Famous poet, writer, dramatist, and columnist of the country Amjad Islam Amjad passed away at the age of 78 years.
The family members have confirmed the death of Amjad Islam Amjad and said that he died due to a heart attack and the Creator passed away in his sleep.
Amjad Islam Amjad, one of the great names of Urdu literature and Urdu poetry, was born in Lahore on August 4, 1944. He received his master’s degree in Urdu literature from Punjab University. MAO was involved in the teaching department in the college.

In his 50-year career, he wrote more than 40 books, including countless plays, poems and poetry collections. He also wrote several long and short plays including Ankar, Chacha Abdul Baqi.
His poetry collections include Love is such a river, the wind of the shores, the wind like this, where will I keep so many dreams and others. The deceased also wrote more than 150 film songs.
The renowned poet was awarded the Writer Zgild Award in 1976, Tagha Hasan Peshiri in 1987 and Satara Imtiaz in 1998, PTV Award 12 times and Nigar Award 2 times.
