Moroccan footballers hogged the limelight after the team grabbed surprising victories in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, outclassing Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
Achraf Hakimi’s heartwarming pictures went viral online when he kissed his mother after 2-0 win over Belgium who was waiting for him on the sidelines with a headscarf and a Moroccan flag around her.
Morocco became the first-ever African nation to qualify for the FIFA World Cup semifinal and it is the first time an African nation reached the final four of the tournament since its inception in 1930.
Hakimi’s wife is an actress by profession and she is known for her known in various television series, including the role of Fatima in El Príncipe. The footballer met his wife in 2018 when he was playing for Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Hiba, an actress of Tunisian and Libyan descent was also born in Madrid in Spain, just like her husband.
After dating each other for two years, they decided to get married in 2020, and by the time Hiba had already built her career. Achraf Hakimi and Hiba Abouk also hogged the limelight when they were featured on the Vogue Arabia magazine cover, in October.
While initially, the pair lived separately as their relationship blossomed, Hiba moved to Dortmund, and later Hakimi joined Paris Saint-Germain and moved to the French Capital along with his wife.
The viral photos of Hiba Abouk were captured on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2022 which, at the time as well – provoked reactions online.
The same photos went viral on social media again after Taslima Nasreen – the self-exiled controversial Bangladeshi writer who had been sentenced for blasphemous writings on Islam in 2002 – posted a provoking post on Twitter yesterday.

Most reactions came from non-Muslims on the revealing dress of Abouk from Cannes Film Festival in May 2022 to launch criticism against hijab and Muslims. A large number of netizens praised the footballer’s family for keeping the freedom of choice as Hakimi’s mother was wearing a headscarf while his wife wasn’t.
Commenting on her provoking post, many netizens responded to her to end Nasreen’s misconception:
Their choice. His mother wears it. Mohammed Salah’s wife wears it. They can choose to wear it or not. It’s no ones business to control wearing it (Iran) or not (France).

Because they are Muslims by chance .
There is difference between a Muslim by chance and a practising Muslim.
Those who understand Islam and study it, will never wear such kinds of clothes. Even if you will study Islam, you will change your beliefs.

we can’t judge someone just based on the hijab. We never know what good she did in secret. Not only 5+5 can make 10, there’s a 6+4, 7+3, and more. Same like hidayah to wear hijab we have different ways
