Saleem Afridi Announces to Leave Theater Post Umer Sharif

The dead body of legendary comedian Umer Sharif is being transported to Pakistan after his funeral prayers in Germany and will reach Karachi on Wednesday.

As per sources, Umer’s widow Zareen Ghazal has taken a commercial flight to the port city.

The demise of Umer Sharif has disheartened millions of his fans and the fraternity members including his close friend and comedian Saleem Afridi.

News360 interviewed Salem Afridi who was in immense grief over the loss.

He said that theater is no fun without Umer Sharif and announced to leave the field after the legend’s demise.

Saleem Afridi shared that he did several projects with the comedian including international projects too and earned fame with all this.

“I was called by Umer Bhai for theater once he saw one of my projects”, he added.

Saleem recalled that it was 1985 or 1987 when he started doing stage shows with the legendary comedian and since then they both enjoyed a very close bond.

“He was a kind-hearted person and no one ever left his house empty-handed,” Afridi said.
