The iconic singer Shehzad Roy took to his Instagram and announced a break of few days from social work.
The star who is renowned among the masses for his rehabilitation and welfare activities was pushed by his manager to shift his focus back on creating music.
“My manager just pushed me to take a break from reforming government schools and focus on our movie and music. I got myself few days”, he penned down.

In 2011, the singer, apart from music creation, produced and hosted an eight-episode documentary titled Wasu aur Mein.
Wasu, a villager from Balochistan, along with Shehzad traveled through several cities in the documentary and tried to understand the future a Pakistani citizen holds.
Again in 2013, Roy produced and hosted a 22-episode documentary series “Chal Parha”, that explored the public education issues across the country.
For past many years, the singer has been actively involved in efforts of restoration of country’s education system.
In 2002, Shehzad established Zindagi Trust, which strives to improve the quality of education available to the average Pakistani.
The trust pioneered the concept of I-am-paid-to-learn that offers working children a facility to learn.
Shehzad is also credited for bringing Canadian music legend Bryan Adams to Pakistan for a charity concert.
Shehzad Roy bagged Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of the highest Civil Honours awards for excellence in serving humanity, and Sitara-e-Eisaar for his organization’s rehabilitation work in Kashmir during 2005 earthquake.
