The survivalist drama has earned fame as Netflix’s biggest show as it is trending top in more than 90 countries.

Earlier, South Korean content was not much known among the viewers but Squid Game and Parasite has carved the way for South Korean movies and dramas in the world of fame.

The Parasite was released in 2019 and is an Oscar-winning film.

After the hit series Squid Game, interest in the Korean language has spiked among the enthusiasts to feel the real essence of the content.

As reported by language learning app Duolingo, a 76% rise is witnessed in the users to learn the Korean language.

The series has been talk of the entertainment pages for the past many weeks and is the leading topic on social media too.

The creator of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, revealed that the script was rejected for 10 years and he roamed from pillar to post for it.

Hwang said that he penned down the script in 2009 but the studios kept rejecting it.

On the other hand, the lead actress Jung Ho Yeon has now become the second most-followed Korean actress on Instagram.
