The ongoing, confrontation between Israel and Palestine has been called an “unjustifiable tragedy” by US supermodel Gigi Hadid.

She has backed the Palestinians in their fight and denounced the violence that has resulted from the attacks.

Along with her sister Bella Hadid, the 28-year-old, who is of Palestinian descent herself, has long supported the “Free Palestine” cause.

She has stated that she has a duty to her Jewish friends to make it known that she opposes the harming of any Jew.

She has also stated her opinion that supporting Palestine does not equate to being anti-Semitic.

It’s a responsibility I carry every day, but I feel great empathy and grief for the Palestinian people as they struggle and live under occupation she expressed in an Instagram Story.

Continuing speaking she said she has goals and dreams for Palestinians, none of them entail the damage of a Jew

she wrote on Instagram, “I also feel a responsibility to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have before While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians.

“The terrorizing of innocent people is not in alignment with and does not do any good for the ’Free Palestine movement. The idea that it does has fueled a painful, decades-long cycle of back-and-forth retaliation (which no innocent civilian, Palestinian or Israeli, deserves to be a casualty of) and helps perpetuate the false idea that being pro-Palestine = antisemitic,” she added.
