The legendary Mohammad Yusuf Khan alias Dilip Kumar died this morning after  prolonged illness in a hospital in Mumbai.

The actor was born in 1922 in Pakistan’s city of Peshawar and made his acting debut in Bollywood with Jwar Bhata in 1944 and worked in more than 65 movies.

Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt note on the demise of a dazzling star.

The Indian fortnightly magazine Filmfare replaced its display picture of the Twitter handle with Dilip Kumar’s snap.

One of the social media users shared an excerpt of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s autobiography “Khullam Khulla” where the iconic actor wrote about the love Dilip had for his father Raj Kapoor.

The tragedy king of Bollywood left the sub-continent mourning including the Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi.


Not only this, the citizens of Peshawar always had a special feeling for the star and on his demise, they expressed their condolences with the late actor’s wife.
