Director and cinematographer Bilal Lashari said in a Twitter message, “In UK, #TheLegendofMaulaJatt has crossed the lifetime Box Office of RRR.”

S S Rajamouli’s epic action-drama RRR starring N.T.R. Junior and Ram Charan in the titular role has completed its run at the box office with a closing business of Rs. 902 crores in India and Rs. 1111 crores worldwide. The film became the second-highest-grossing movie at the Indian box office upon release. It now sits at number three after KGF 2 overtook it last month, according to Pinkvilla.

In UK, RRR collected $1.38 million while its worldwide collections were Rs1111.10 crores at the time of the closing business in September.

The Legend of Maula Jatt made $56,586 at the North American box office and $46,825 at the UK box office till October 27.

The film, starring Fawad Khan, Humaima Mallick, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and others, released two weeks ago but it’s still beating the two Indian films at the US and UK box offices with $56,586 and $46,825 earned respectively, Dawn News reported.

According to Bollywood Hungama, The Legend of Maula Jatt drew a staggering $46,825 from 56 screens in the UK on its 13th day running. At the same time, both Bollywood films that hit theatres on Wednesday. Thank God collected $19,472 from 83 screens and Ram Setu collected $16,595 from 95 screens.

The Legend of Maula Jatt collected $56,586 from 90 screens in the US while Ram Setu collected $48,330 from 354 screens and Thank God collected $40,358 from 228 screens in North America.

On Monday, the executive producer of The Legend of Maula Jatt, Ammara Hikmat, shared that the film made Rs1 billion worldwide within 10 days of its release. It has also become the highest grossing Punjabi language film in the UK.

The Legend of Maula Jatt was released across cinemas worldwide on October 13. The film is a reboot of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt, reimagining Punjab’s own superhero for a world audience.

A week ago, Pakistan’s most popular and biggest film “The Legend of Maula Jatt” crossed the historic milestone of Rs100 crore, becoming the first Pakistani movie to achieve the goal at the box office.

The Punjabi film became the highest-grossing Pakistani film and crossed the historic Rs100 crore milestone at the worldwide box office within just 10 days of its global release.
