Zara Abid Awarded Best Model Posthumously In Lux Style Awards

Pakistani model Zara Abid was posthumously awarded the Lux Style Awards for the Best Model.

Due to the global pandemic this year, the Lux Style Awards took place virtually instead of in-person. The list of winners in the categories of film, TV, fashion, and music categories was issued too.

Leading Pakistani model Zara Abid, who died in a PIA plane crash on May 22 this year, has been posthumously awarded the Best Model Award.

Model Zara Abid had died in a plane crash accident which was confirmed by her make-up artist Akram Gohar.

She was among the 99 passengers on board the tragic flight that met its end on May 22.

The ill-fated Karachi-bound PK 8303 flight crashed in a residential area of Karachi just a few minutes before landing.

Many celebrities published posts on their social media handles to express grief and sorrow over the model’s unexpected death.

Leading Turkish actress Esra Bilgic also offered her condolences.

Famous photojournalist Tapu Javeri had posted an Instagram post expressing grief on the model’s sad demise.

The renowned actress Ayesha Omar also shared a picture on Instagram remembering Zara Abid.

Well-known actors Faisal Qureshi, Imran Abbas, Mehwish Hayat, Humayun Saeed, Wajahat Rauf, Mahira Khan, Saba Qamar, Iman Ali, Fareeha Altaf, Deepak Parwani, Ashley Fayyaz, Hassan Shehryar Munawar, Mawara Hussain, Wahab Shah, Maria Wasti, and numerous others had also expressed their condolences to Zara Abid’s family and expressed deep sorrow over her death.

Lux Style Awards also included two Lifetime Achievement Awards. The recipients of the award include TV host, actor, poet, writer Anwar Maqsood, and photojournalist Tapu Javeri.
