Army Chief: Students must prepare to contribute to national development
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has urged students to embrace “Pakistaniyet” and strive for excellence in their academic pursuits, developing skills that contribute to the country’s progress.
Addressing a delegation of university and college students from across Pakistan, the army chief emphasised the importance of education and skill development in shaping a brighter future for the nation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Asim Munir encouraged young students to excel in their studies and cultivate abilities that would enable them to play a constructive role in the country’s development.
He also shared insights on external threats to Pakistan, particularly cross-border terrorism, underscoring the challenges faced by the nation.
Acknowledging the energy, creativity, and potential of the youth, General Asim Munir described them as the future leaders of Pakistan.
He highlighted the critical role of the armed forces in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The army chief paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the people in the fight against terrorism and lauded the commitment of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in ensuring national security.
Stressing the need for students to embrace “Pakistaniyat,” General Asim Munir also underscored the significance of Pakistan’s history, culture, and values in shaping the intellectual growth of the younger generation.
