COAS General Asim Munir’s mother passes away

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir’s mother has passed away. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his condolences and prayed for the deceased’s elevated rank in paradise.

Multiple private run TV channels reported in the wee hours of Tuesday that General Syed Asim Munir’s mother had departed this mortal soil.

In a condolence message released by the PM Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and said he shared the grief of the bereaved family.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday extended his heartfelt condolence over the passing of the mother of Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, according to the statement.

The prime minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief, according to a PM Office press release.

He also prayed to Allah Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
