Aman Foundation Join Forces With Sindh Govt to Combat Covid-19

Since 2009, Aman Foundation has been providing services in the health sector in Pakistan on daily basis and with the surge of the covid-19 pandemic, they have joined hands with the Sindh government to facilitate thousands of lives in the most difficult times.  

Talking to News360, two officials of Aman Foundation explained how they are valuing human lives and taking every possible and highly effective precautions while assisting endlessly.

Aman Foundation Deputy General Manager (DGM) Dr Ali Kashan Malik said, “Aman ambulances have not only transported patients from their homes to hospitals but also from one hospital to another during these difficult times of coronavirus pandemic”.

Kashan told more than 17,000 patients were transported from their homes to hospitals and more than 16,000 patients from one hospital to another.

Moreover, special care was also taken during the trip in the ambulance and medical staff is trained to take all necessary steps to handle the patient’s health condition professionally.

Answering a query, Dr Ali said, “The doctors affiliated with the Aman Foundation are provided online training especially for covid positive patients”.

In addition to it, the ambulances of Aman Foundation are fully equipped modern facilities following proper covid-19 guidelines in Sindh.

Ventilators are very important for cardiac patients and they have been installed in the ambulances in collaboration with the Sindh government.

Moreover, Head of Aman Telehealth Dr Nafisa Bano said, “Aman ambulances are designated for door-to-door visit for free covid-19 vaccinations and all quarantined patients were consulted over the phone”.

The Sindh government has launched free door-to-door vaccination campaign, in which the Aman Foundation is also working with them.

Dr Nafisa added that the citizens can call 9123 for vaccine registration, after which Aman Foundation workers will visit home for further assistance.

For now, the campaign is designed for citizens aged 60 and over along with the disabled and the sick.

She said that Aman Foundation receives more than 2,000 calls from citizens daily.
