In a recent incident reported from the Haryana state of India, some 1,710 vials were reportedly theft from a civil hospital in Jind city. The stolen material contained 1,270 vials of Covishield and 440 of Covaxin vaccines.

In another woeful occurrence in Madhya Pradesh state, the suspects robbed oxygen cylinders that were delivered at Damoh District Hospital.

The district collector told a mob attacked the oxygen truck and looted cylinders.

This all happened out of fear of possible shortage as the healthcare facility had adequate oxygen supply to cater to the requirements of the patients.

Further, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi criticized the Modi government on the lack of vaccines, beds and oxygen in the hospitals.

She asked why didn’t the government took preemptive measures when it knew about the arrival of a new wave of the pandemic.

“Modi is busy in elections. He is seen laughing in the rallies when people are shouting and crying and coveting to get medicines, beds, oxygen from somewhere.”

“How can you laugh?”, she asked.

The Congress leader urged Indian Prime Minister Modi to stop election campaigns to prevent mass gatherings.
