Drive-Through Facility: Another Aid in Vaccinating Karachiites

Drive-through Vaccinating Facility

To curb the spread of delta variant, the Sindh government has launched a drive-through facility in Karachi’s Clifton area for thousands of residents for hassle-free immunization.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab pled the Karachiites to not ignore the importance of the vaccine and get themselves jabbed at the earliest.

The purpose of the initiative during the currently imposed lockdown is to ensure achieving the target to vaccinate a huge population within a week.

The facility has been set up in partnership with JS Bank and several celebrities were invited to encourage people in getting their vaccine dose from 4 pm till midnight.

The drive offers Moderna, CanSino, and Sinopharm vaccines and 500-600 cars are visiting the facility daily.

The staff is vaccinating people within their cars irrespective of the number of passengers and the locals seemed very satisfied with the drive-through facility.

Talking to News360, actor Aijaz Aslam applauded the efforts of the Sindh government in timely analyzing the need and starting the facility as the other spots, especially Expo Center, have become overcrowded.

Considering the population left from getting jabbed, the drive is assisting in dividing the rush of citizens and lowering the risk of infecting others while waiting in long queues.

Moreover, the government is also looking to establish separate arrangements for vaccination of the industrial workers by introducing vaccine centers at various industrial areas.
