The calculation shows that it would take Pakistan only around six months to get fully vaccinated if the mass process continues with the same velocity.
The health experts say the target of complete vaccination seems achievable.
If the ongoing speed of immunization is maintained and at least 10 million people are administered jabs in 9 days or so, the calculation shows that it will roughly take some 200 days to vaccinate around 240 million people.
According to the data shared by Bloomberg, the covid-19 vaccination drive is the biggest in history and around 4.5 billion people have been inoculated so far.
As many as 40 million people in Pakistan have received covid-19 vaccine shots so far in 183 countries.
China has so far administered some 1.8 billion doses while India is second with 519 million doses followed by European Union (EU) countries with 456 million shots.
Pakistan ranks 17th in the list as it has completed the benchmark of injecting 40 million doses so far.
Meanwhile, the country has also shown remarkable speed in vaccination which is defined as the cumulative average of new people getting jabbed each day.
Pakistan ranks above India and United States on the list.
On July 1, some 93,924 people were immunized but it gained pace and some 167,355 people were administered on August 8.
This was an increase of 78.18% compared to the figure in July.
