Grim Numbers: Only 10% Youth Half-Vaccinated in KP

Around 90% of youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus even with a single dose so far.
The shocking data said that only 10% of people aged between 18 and 29 years got themselves jabbed against the coronavirus while the remaining percentage is still unvaccinated.
A report said that only 78,000 youngsters of 7.693 million falling in the age bracket only had a single dose yet.

Further, the percentage of vaccination in people aged between 30 and 39 years isn’t much impressive too as only 20% of them have been immunized.
Similarly, some 747,968 citizens aged between 40 and 49 years have been inoculated while 607,477 individuals aged between 50 and 59 years have received first jabs too. The coverage of the population in the age group is 24% and 28% respectively.
The highest percentage of vaccination has been recorded in the age group between 60 and 69 years as 31% of senior citizens have been administered the first dose of covid-19.
The health experts have raised serious concerns about the reluctance of vaccination in the youth.
They said that the government should take measures to force 90% of unvaccinated youth to get themselves vaccinated.
