Junaid Khan Claps Back at Asad Umar on Vaccine Deficiency

In the last 24 hours, 1,590 new cases were registered of which 19 patients are in critical condition and the positivity ratio stands at 3.63%

Head of National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Asad Umar made the vaccination certificates mandatory for tourists booking hotels in northern areas but cricketer Junaid Khan clapped back at him.

Amid the prowling Delta variant in Pakistan, NCOC’s head in a statement urged the citizens to administer the jabs and made it mandatory for the tourists in Pakistan to show their vaccination certificates for hotel bookings in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Azad and Jammu Kashmir (AJK), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

While taking serious note of the deadly virus, the body also issued directives for the implementation of SOPs in cattle markets to curb the spread.

Meanwhile, responding to the instructions, left-arm fast bowler Junaid Khan maintained that Asad Umar needs to know that the vaccination they have  made compulsory is not even available in Pakistan.

“I have asked in District Swabi District Mardan and District Bunair. No vaccine is available. Those that have taken their first dose more than 6/7 weeks ago are still waiting for their second dose. If they are not available where will people get vaccinated from?”, he added.

Several comments popped up on the tweets by Junaid Khan and the netizens were in support of his views.

According to the NCOC, another 446,391 doses have reached covid-19 vaccination centers but the citizens are indisposed in taking the jabs.
