Pakistani Doctor Introduces App for Instant Coronavirus Test

Toronto-based Pakistani doctor Naqeeb Khalid has introduced a smartphone-based coronavirus diagnosis test.

Pakistani High Commissioner to Canada Raza Bashir Tarar has congratulated Khalid for his brilliant invention.

He maintained that this hassle-free and affordable invention would be of considerable help to serve humanity in the ongoing pandemic.

Raza Tarar expressed his gratitude towards Khalid and said that the invention would prove its efficacy after the clinical trials for the Covid-19 test.

He said that idea of testing coronavirus by the smartphone is novel and laudable.

“Together with vaccines, we can control the Covid-19 outbreak and return our lives and economies to normal.”

Dr. Naqeeb Khalid is a graduate of King Edward Medical University. He has experience in invention of medical devices and systems. Khalid told the high commissioner that his invention can display results instantly on any smartphone and can also communicate or store them.

“Instant, accurate and low-cost testing that does not rely on laboratory testing is essential in containing the pandemic and together with vaccines, we can control the Covid-19 outbreak and return our lives and economies to normal,” said Najeeb Khalid.
