Journalist Lists Insights of Bhutan’s Covid-19 Glory

Journalist reminded that besides having a small population, Bhutan has limited resources but it beat virus with cooperation and effective strategy

More than 0.7 million of Bhutan’s population has emerged as a covid-19 free country, and senior journalist Tenzing Lamsang has listed down some useful insights based on country’s experiences.

Taking to his Twitter account, a senior Bhutanese journalist expressed his contentment and viewed some of the precautionary measures for other countries to follow in a series of threads.

First things first, the journalist mentioned that the pandemic should be taken seriously.

Secondly, good Leadership is absolutely an essential tool to excel in it.

Moreover, he stressed upon stocking up medical facilities and have everyone on board to have a mutual consensus about what strategy should be implemented.

To completely conquer the coronavirus pandemic, the part-time approach isn’t recommended, instead good leadership and mutual agreement between all institutions, governance & society are equally important.

Tenzing shared some tips on how to save lives and convince people to stay safe at home.

In addition to it, he said that international borders should be closed for traveling and only trading of essential commodities should be allowed.

Authorities should not permit any kind of political or religious gatherings.

Stressing on the welfare of citizens, the Bhutanese journalist explained covid-19 goals including getting every person vaccinated in the first place to control the virus.

He added that a forensic study will accommodate to keep track if the coronavirus has completely made its way out and what future measures will be beneficial to lower the risk.

Lastly, people will comment that Bhutan has a small population and so it’s easy to control.

Thereby, the journalist reminded them that the state has limited resources and capacity as well but with good leadership and cooperation of citizens, Bhutan succeeded in declaring itself as a covid-19 free country.
