A resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal area said she got her first jab of AstraZeneca from the Expo Center while she is still waiting for her second dose.

She added that she was supposed to take her second dose on August 18 but the week has passed and there’s no hope for the availability of the vaccine.

Just like her, many other citizens are visiting nearby vaccination centers every day, hoping to hear the news of jab availability.

With an increasing positivity rate, the government established several inoculation centers across the city and people rushed for administration in response.

In this regard, the health officials said that since centers are overrun with people, the shortage of AstraZeneca vaccine was expected.

Calming the chaotic situation in the city, PRO of the health department Mehr Khurshid said that the federal government sent the supply during the wee hours of Sunday.

She assured AstraZeneca vaccine will be delivered at various vaccination centers today.
