China is the biggest ice-cream consumer in the world as 1 of 3 ice-creams produced across the globe is consumed there.
The consumption has seen a massive growth of 20% this year as well.
In 2019, the production volume reached 3.06 million tons and total ice-cream sales were equivalent to Yuan 40.8 billion.
The world’s most populated country’s ice-cream industry is expected to reach Yuan 223 billion by 2025 while some 18% more ice cream was eaten during the first two weeks of the pandemic outbreak. The rate later accelerated to 38%.
