Egyptian Man’s Windpipe Clogged by Fish Recovered Alive

Doctors managed to save life of the patient after gastroscopy

WEB DESK: In a bizarre incident, an Egyptian medical team managed to save the life of a 40-years-old man whose windpipe was clogged by a fish accidentally.

As per local media reports, the man had been fishing in Cairo, tried to angled more fish at a time, resulting in a life-threatening condition.

The fisherman caught one fish and in his attempt to catch more, he clung it between his teeth. The fish slid into his mouth and choked his throat.

The man arrived at the hospital with a shortage of breath and difficulty in speaking. The medical team ran X-rays and CT scans, which showed that the fish was in his windpipe.

The doctors removed the fish after performing gastroscopy and found the fish alive after the procedure.

Earlier, the same incident took place in Kerala India, when a man was fishing and the fish got stuck deep inside his throat. The medical team attempted a major surgery to save his life.
