Hindu Community Celebrates Diwali in Pakistan
PM Imran Khan and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto also congratulated the Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali
WEB DESK: The Hindu community in Pakistan is celebrating Diwali on Saturday. Prominent personalities of Pakistan have offered congratulations on this occasion.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated Hindu citizens of Pakistan on Diwali on the social networking site Twitter.

Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto in his Twitter message also congratulated the Hindu community all over the world including Pakistan on Diwali.

Diwali is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated annually in the spring season. It is an important Hindu festival as well as a reflection of Hindu customs.
Preparations for Diwali begin 9 days before the actual event, while other rituals continue to be performed for another 5 days.
Before the Diwali night, Hindus decorate, repair and paint their houses. On the occasion of Diwali, the Hindu community light candles in houses and streets.
In addition to lighting candles, regular banquets are held. Gifts and sweets are distributed.
