Men’s Day Celebration : Mangobaaz’s Post Exhibits Misandry
Photo shared by Mangobaaz displays a man sitting in a toilet, displaying connection between both days
WEB DESK: On International Men’s Day and Toilet Day, a Pakistani website posted a controversial photo on its cover, which has been widely criticized on social media.
The picture on the website Mango Baz shows a man sitting in a toilet.
In its Facebook post, the website felicitated International Men’s Day and Toilet Day in a single sentence.
There have been hundreds of comments on this post where there is a debate between men and women.
Some of the comments made by women targeted men, defending that females are the target of such images on a daily basis.

The post immediately received a backlash, mostly be men. Most of them pointed towards people who created and posted such contentious content.
They questioned in the comments if the women liking, sharing the post would congratulate men in their families the same manner.
Websites usually monitor their social media pages and delete posts or moderate comments if it sparks controversy.
Mangobaaz has not paid any attention to this and instead restored to defending the post, rightly to be called inappropriate, and reviled men who protested it in the comments section on Mangobaaz’s Facebook page.
Social media activists also believe that such posts are not appropriate.
In a society where women are harassed on the basis of gender, such images cannot and shall not be encouraged.
Ridiculing someone based on gender is wrong and certainly condemnable when it comes from a big social media player as Mangobaaz.
