Retrenched Pilot in Malaysia Turn To Sell Smashed Burgers
Aviation industry has taken a hit due to recent pandemic
WEB DESK: A Pilot in Malaysia started selling burgers after losing his job due to recent pandemic. The economic impact of the coronavirus-driven recession is becoming more intense as people are losing their jobs and the youngsters looking for employment are facing the worst challenges.
Ex-pilot, Naeem Nassir, has set up a street burger stall “Smashed Burger” in Shah Alam, Petaling District, Malaysia.
Nassir was a pilot in Oman Air and lost his job due to the recent pandemic recession.

Being aware of the situation in the aviation industry, Nassir lost hopes to continue his job as a pilot and started this venture to keep running his household with his wife.
He chose to sell smashed burgers, that was once a favorite meal of the couple in Oman, to earn bread.
Before setting up his stall of burgers, Naeem tried his luck in videography but luck wasn’t kind to him.
While sitting jobless at home, he and his wife decided to carve their ways and started watching smashed burgers’ recipes and videos on internet.
The duo watched many recipes to pick a final one. They wanted to keep their product cheap all quality ingredients.

Naeem is said to have learned the magic of grilling and cooking through these videos.

Another former pilot, Captain Azrin Mohammad Zawawi, has set up a roadside stall “Kapten Corner”.

Captain Azrin was among the Malindo Aircrew that was retrenched at the end of October.
The post was shared by the former captain’s father on social media that went viral with the photos of Azrin wearing his uniform.
