An Indian couple has taken the internet by storm for their unusual chemistry as they changed 18 homes during the past three years due to wife’s cockroach phobia.
The couple hails from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal city and tied the knot in 2017.
The wife’s crippling fear of cockroaches didn’t wane and now the couple is seeking a divorce.
Husband said, “He had no idea about his wife’s phobia before he married her. But soon after the wedding, the woman revealed her condition when she saw a cockroach in the kitchen and screamed her lungs out”.
Refusing to enter the kitchen, his wife had asked him to shift to another home.

Interestingly, the couple made their first move in 2018 and continued migration over the next three years and they accommodated in some 18 homes during the span.
Katsaridaphobia, also known as the fear of cockroaches is treated using cognitive behavior therapy through either ‘Gradual Desensitization’ method or the Exposure method.
The wife was also consulted by several psychiatrists, however, she always deviated from taking medications.
Instead, she blamed her husband for trying to declare her as a mental patient without any authentic prove.
Later the matter was registered to the men’s rights organization BHAI Welfare Society for assistance, unfortunately, it couldn’t be resolved amicably.
Tired of moving to 18 homes, the husband has now given up his hope upon his wife’s phobia of cockroaches and took a tough decision to file for divorce.
As the news went viral, the internet users were amazed to see that the phobia wasn’t treated beforehand.
Some of them even questioned that how the girl had survived at her parent’s house.
Whereas, some listed their phobias while others suggested the couple to migrate to another country.
