10 Pakistani firms get Egypt’s approval for meat export
Razak Dawood says the meat export approval is part of govt's policy of product and geographical diversification.
Advisor to Prime Minister on Trade and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Friday congratulated 10 Pakistani firms for getting an approval from Egypt to export meat to the transcontinental country.
Taking to Twitter, Razak Dawood said: “Egypt’s Veterinary Quarantine Department has approved 10 Pakistani slaughterhouses to export meat.”

The advisor to prime minister on trade and investment added:” This has been done as a result of audit conducted by the Egyptian Veterinary authorities.”

The local firms that have been approved to export meat to Egypt are: TATA Best Food Limited, P. K Livestock & Meat Company (PVT) Limited, Al Shaheer Corporation Ltd, The Organic Meat Company Private Limited, Fauji Meat Limited, Tazij Meat and Food, Abedin International Abattoirs (private) Limited and Zenith Associates.
Razak Dawood further said that the meat export approval is a part of the government’s policy of product and geographical diversification.
The advisor to prime minister on trade and investment urged the export companies to go full speed ahead to capitalize the opportunity. He said that the meat sector has great potential.
In October last, Jordan also gave an approval to three Pakistani meat processing firms to export meat to the middle east country.
