Aamir Liaquat Hussain passes away in Karachi

Renowned TV show host and a dissident Member of the National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away in Karachi today.

Rescue sources told the media that Aamir Liaquat Hussain was found dead in his bedroom. Amir Liaquat Hussain was rushed from his house in Khudadad Colony to Aga Khan Hospital near Stadium Road where the hospital management confirmed his death.

According to a private television, Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s house servant told PTI MPA Jamal Siddiqui that when he opened the door of his room in the morning, Amir Liaquat was found dead on his bed. The officials of the Chippa ambulance service also confirmed the death of Amir Liaquat Hussain.

Javed, an employee of Amir Liaquat, said that Amir Liaquat’s health had deteriorated last night. He had complained of chest pain. When he was asked to go to the hospital, he refused.

He said that when Hussain came out of the room in the morning, his condition was not good. After that, he went to the room and lay down. He added that he knocked on the door after some time but it was not opened. He then broke the door and saw Hussain lying unconscious on his bed.

According to the employee, an attempt was made to awaken Hussain by sprinkling water on him but he did not regain consciousness. The employee informed the police on 15 after which the rescue agencies shifted him to the hospital. According to the hospital administration, Hussain was brought to the hospital dead.

Senior journalist Faheem Siddiqui said that an employee told him that Aamir’s health had deteriorated last night while a scream was heard from his room in the morning after which his door was knocked and then the door was broken. He was immediately taken to hospital later.

Senior journalist Faizullah Khan said in a Twitter message that the initial report indicated that the smoke of the generator may also be a cause of Hussain’s death.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly (NA) session was adjourned till Friday evening after the demise of Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Earlier, Aamir Liaquat Hussain expressed his mental stress after his separation from his third wife and announced to leave the country.
