Administrator Murtaza Wahab lays foundation of encroachments at Rashid Latif Stadium
35 shops are being built illegally on residential plot of the cricket academy.
Despite Supreme Court orders against illegal constructions in Karachi, the construction of illegal shops continues at Rashid Latif Stadium. Surprisingly, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab had laid the foundation stone of the construction of illegal shops.
Encroachment and illegal construction in the city having a population of 30 million has become a common practice under the patronage of government.
According to the details, construction of illegal shops is underway at the play ground and park set up at the Rashid Latif Academy Stadium in Korangi No. 05, which is a public property.

Surprisingly, despite the orders of the Supreme Court for the immediate demolition of illegal constructions in the city, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab laid the foundation of these shops.
MQM-P’s Sindh Assembly Hashim Raza has written a letter to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah regarding the sale of illegally built shops. He wrote, in the letter, that 35 shops are being built illegally on the residential plot of Rashid Latif Academy and millions of rupees had been received in this connection. However, as per the Supreme Court orders, no encroachment can be made on public property.
It may be mentioned here that a week ago Rashid Latif Stadium called Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab for inauguration of the construction of illegal shops.
