Aid to the flood victims is a distant thing: Even Patients of Sindh and Balochistan’s cities are in misery

In Karachi's Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, one feels sick after seeing the piles of garbage, while in Quetta's government hospital, a girl has lost her life due to the negligence of the staff.

The recent monsoon rains and floods have wreaked havoc all over the country, on the one hand, seeing the plight of Abbasi Shaheed, the well-known hospital in Karachi, wept tears of heart, on the other hand, the negligence of the doctors and nurses in the civil hospital in Quetta. A girl has lost her life.

A video of Karachi’s Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is going viral on social media. In the video, the trauma center on the third floor of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and the wards for dengue patients can be seen.

The third floor of the trauma center is littered with garbage and medical waste, with patient beds inside the wards and piles of plastic bags, used syringes, and plastic bottles under the beds.

Looking at the video, it seems that neither doctors visit here nor MS likes to visit here.

In the dengue ward, garbage and dirty bags are piled up everywhere, paan packets are everywhere, cats are seen chewing their mouths in the garbage bins, and no seating arrangements are made for the relatives of the patients. They are sitting or lying down with their clothes on the ground.

Due to the inattention of the Sindh government and the health department, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is presenting the scene of a garbage dump.

Social media users and social circles have severely criticized the medical superintendent and administrator of the hospital, Karachi Murtaza, saying that they should make their livelihood halal. In an environment as dirty as the one inside the hospital, patients will either get healthier or get sicker. He says that it seems that the floor has not been cleaned for many days, and if it is not cleaned, how could the spray be done here to prevent dengue?

Social circles say that if you listen to the press conference of Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab, it seems that Karachi has become Paris, and if you look at the reality, it seems that the people of Karachi are living in the ruins of Mohenjo-Daro.

Patients say spread the story of the plight of the hospital on digital media and social media so that the eyes of our government can play, and can see what kind of medical facilities our doctors and MS are providing to people.

On the other hand, a girl lost her life two days ago due to a mutual fight between doctors and nurses in Civil Hospital Quetta.

A video has gone viral on social media in which the girl’s father is explaining the reason for his daughter’s death.

“I waited for the duty staff for 3 hours, but no one was there,” says the victim.

The victim added, “I hold the entire health department responsible for my daughter’s death. Due to their negligence, my daughter died.”

A doctor and a nurse have been suspended by the Medical Superintendent (MS) Civil Hospital Quetta after the video went viral.

Some doctors and nurses went on strike after a clash between a doctor and a nurse on duty in the old civil hospital of the province, Quetta, and as a result of that strike, the girl died.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo took notice of the unpleasant incident that took place in the Children’s Ward of the Civil Hospital of Quetta.

The Chief Minister called for a preliminary report of the incident in the hospital and said that actions directly affecting the patients will not be tolerated. The chief minister directed the health secretary to inquire into the incident and submit a report.

The Chief Minister said that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.
