KARACHI: In the light of the Supreme Court orders, the district administration has written letters to the utility companies to cut off the electricity and water connections to Nasla Tower while Sui Southern Gas Company has cut off the gas of the building.
A letter written by Assistant Commissioner Ferozabad to K Electric, Sui Southern Gas Company and Water Board said that connections should be cut before October 27 so that further operation can be carried out.
The instructions were given by the commissioner following an order from the Chief Justice on Monday.

Karachi Commissioner Iqbal Memon has convened a high level meeting at the Commissioner’s Office today to complete the largest operation in the city to implement the orders of the Supreme Court.
According to sources, the meeting will decide how to use the controlled blast and what precautions should be taken.
They added that the Pakistan Army’s engineering team will also brief the commissioner Karachi on the use of detonation. The commissioner has also invited the Vice Chancellor and engineering expert of NED University to the meeting.
The commissioner has also summoned officials of Water Board, Sindh Building Control Authority, KMC and Solid Waste Management. The meeting will also be attended by Rangers and senior police officials.
Deputy Commissioner East Asif Jan Siddiqui and Assistant Commissioner Ferozabad Asma Batool are also summoned in the meeting.
The commissioner said that administrative matters are being expedited in the light of court orders. He said that he was monitoring all the matters himself.
