Asia Cup: India vs Pakistan Super Four game to be played with a reserve day

Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan, India's matches are likely to be played abroad

The India-Pakistan game in the Super Four round of the Asia Cup scheduled for September 10 will have a reserve day, ESPNcricinfo reported on Friday. However, no official announcement has been made by the Asian Cricket Council about the said changes.

The high-voltage match is the only one in the tournament besides the final to have a reserve day.

The organisers will make efforts to complete the match on the original day even if it means shortening the format of the game. In case reserve day (September 11) is triggered, the duration of the contest will remain unchanged and the format will be the same as the last ball of day one.

The reports of adding a reserve day for the clash of the archrivals came amid severe weather conditions in Pallekele and Colombo. The first face-off in the Asia Cup between the two resulted in a washout.
