Bakhtawar’s Engagement Today: Who Will and Who Will Not Attend?
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari will surely miss her only brother Bilawal as he is down with Covid-19
KARACHI: Bakhtawar’s engagement ceremony, eldest daughter of former president Asif Ali Zardari, will be held at Bilawal House on Friday evening.
A Bilawal House spokesperson confirmed that Bakhtawar’s brother and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not be able to attend the engagement ceremony.
Bilawal confirmed via tweet on Thursday that he has contracted the novel coronavirus.

He is currently observing self-isolation.
Keeping in view the Covid-19 precautions, the engagement ceremony will be held in the open area of the house.
According to Bilawal House sources, only family members will participate in today’s simple and brief engagement ceremony.
The event at Bilawal House will be attended by 120 people, including close family members and relatives and no guests will be allowed to take photos from cellphones or cameras.
The photos will only be captured by professional photographers who have been hired for the event, the invitation card read.
A Bilawal House spokesperson told senior party leaders and close friends of Asif Ali Zardari will attend Bakhtawar’s engagement.
Bakhtawar’s fiancee and his family has already arrived in Karachi from Dubai with his family on Thursday morning.
Bilawal House has confirmed that Ghanwa Bhutto’s family has not been invited to the engagement ceremony.
According to family sources, Sanam Bhutto has been invited and she can attend the ceremony. Whereas, Shahnawaz Bhutto’ s daughter Sasi Bhutto has not been invited.
Bilawal House sources told only few special people have been invited to attend the engagement ceremony.
The political leaders, who have not been invited in Bakhtawar’s engagement, will be invited in the wedding ceremony to be held in February next year, sources in Bilawal House confirmed.
In view of the coronavirus pandemic, all the guests have been asked to follow SOPs and greet each other from distance of at least six feet.
According to seating arrangement, only three guests will be allowed to sit on a table.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari will be engaged to Mahmood Chaudhry in Karachi on November 27, who is the son of Younis Chaudhry.
All the Invited guests are advised to take precautionary guidelines devised to stem coronavirus spread and were directed to submit a scanned copy of their test reports to Bilawal House a day prior to the event.
Subsequently, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s coronavirus test resulted back positive. Therefore, he will not be able to attend the engagement of his sister.
Sources said that Asif Zardari, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital will attend the function.
Samples of staff stationed at Bilawal House were also taken for coronavirus tests before the engagement ceremony.
