QUETTA: Consultation process has begun for the nomination of new Balochistan chief minster.
Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, who had resigned from the slot of speaker today and led the movement of the disgruntled group against Jam Kamal Khan, is a strong candidate for the chief minister slot.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf wants the chief minister from the party and in this connection its parliamentary leader Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind is also a candidate. Balochistan Awami Party’s Sardar Saleh Bhootani, Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Jan Mohammad Jamali And Abdul Rehman Khetran are also running for the chief ministership.

During the visit of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak to Quetta, talks were held with the coalition parties of PTI and Balochistan Awami Party.
According to News 360 sources, during the talks, Pervez Khattak asked the PTI for a list of candidates for the post of Chief Minister. The provincial leadership nominated Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind for the chief ministership. However, the coalition partner BAP (Quddus Bizenjo) and (Jam Kamal) group objected to the name of Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind for the chief ministership.
The sources said that the PTI also nominated Omar Khan Jamali and Mir Nematullah Zehri for the Chief Ministership.
They added that Pervez Khattak had assured the party’s provincial leadership that this time their reservations would be removed and the list provided by them regarding the CM candidate will be submitted to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Earlier, Jam Kamal Khan had decided to resign after a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak at the Chief Minister’s House.
