Good News! Malik, Rizwan declared fit for today’s semi-final

Earlier, both the players had minor fever but their Covid tests have come negative.

A good news for Pakistani fans as the PCB medical panel has declared Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Rizwan fit for today’s semi-final against Australia.

Earlier, all-rounder Shoaib Malik and wicket-keeper opening batter Mohammad Rizwan suffered fever.

Pakistan will take up Australia in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup tonight.

The two Pakistani key players did not participate in the practice session yesterday.

Pakistan cricket team’s media manager said that Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik have had minor fever and flu as doctors advised them to rest, but, their Covid tests have come negative.

Salim Khaliq, a sports journalist associated with a private TV channel wrote on Twitter: “Rizwan and Shoaib Malik are suffering from flu and fever. Hopefully they will recover and participate in the semi-final. Presence of both the players is important as a good winning combination is formed.”

After two days of rest. the national team had a practice session at ICC Academy yesterday, however, both the players were not present in the session, sparking speculations that they may miss the semi-final against Australia.

However, according to the latest reports, the condition of both the players has improved as they are fit for today’s semi-final.
