BJP is India’s Establishment

Nathuram Godse must be ecstatic up there since what he wanted to achieve 75 years back has, at last, been done by his prodigies, as ruling BJP has turned India into a uni power democracy. Let’s take a look at what has happened in India during last five years of the rule of Hindu Nationalists.

Arrest of Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal became the first sitting Provincial Chief Executive of independent India who got nabbed by the federal authorities on March 21. The case pertains to alleged corruption and money laundering in formulating and executing the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22 that was later scrapped.

Now the question arises that why Kejriwal is the target of BJP govt. The answer is pretty simple, Delhi’s CM has made a name for himself as being a clean and efficient politician who delivers what he promises. Added to that Kejriwal has become an integral part of recently cobbled opposition alliance ‘INDIA’ which Modi govt abhors.

Kejriwal is also one of the leaders who has been a constant thorn for BJP while sitting in Delhi, right under the nose of Modi’s govt and delivering what he has promised to his electorates as CM. It seems that BJP govt will not let Kejriwal go scot free before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Financial Witch Hounding of Congress

As Rahul Gandhi has alleged BJP doesn’t want Congress to launch its election campaign by freezing bank accounts of India’s oldest political party and that too, months away from elections.

“Our entire financial identity has been erased,” said Gandhi, 53, the scion of the family that dominated Indian politics for decades after independence.

“We have no money to campaign, we cannot support our candidates. Our ability to fight elections has been damaged.”

It seems BJP is hell bent to make as much financial dent on Congress as possible to make electionteering difficult for them. Having said that, what startles observers is that despite many appeals, there is no relief in sight for Congress from courts, which sheds light on how much clout Modi’s party enjoys in different segments of the state.

Ram Mandir becomes reality

Februray 27, 2024 was the day when Modi and BJP showed it to the entirety of India and World that they are able to cobble together people from divergent ideologies and backgrounds when they inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

That was the moment when the world saw how powerful BJP and its Hindu right wing has become for not only India’s top court allowing the Mandir’s construction, but Modi also managed to inaugarate it right before up coming Lok Sabha elections.

And now BJP will showcase this achievement of theirs during election campaign especially in the Hindu heartland of Uttar Pradesh.

Media silenced and regimented

With India’s flamboyant and courageous Journalists like Ravish Kumar and Pranoy Roy being threatened to witch hounding of Rana Ayub, Modi govt has cruelly been successful in curbing any criticism came their way through independent media.

Just a cursory look on Indian TV channels and newspapers will tell you that Indian media is now truly subservient to BJP and its Hindutva ideology.

Going through the social media accounts of some of the leading Indian journalists like Shehkhar Gupta will make you realize how careful they are in coining their X posts so that they don’t infuriate the right wing Hindus who are on an ideological rampage in the world’s largest democracy.

Complete usurpation of Kashmir

August 2019 will remain the darkest blot on Indian democracy, the day when BJP govt took over the remaining so-called sovereignty of the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir. Even leaders like Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah couldn’t agree to what Modi did with the disputed territory.

But despite criticism, BJP govt continued with their repressive measures in Kashmir with impunity, so much so that even the Indian judiciary could not do anything to restore basic human and constitutional rights in the disputed valley.

With BJP and Modi entering the election fray in the coming months, the annulation of the Kashmir-specific law is another feather in their cap which they will showcase during their election campaign.

RAW went rogue

Imagine what world would be thinking when a state tells that its premier intelligence agencies personnel has gone rogue in their bid to kill alleged separatist in a foreign land. Exactly this was told by India to the world regarding murder attempt on Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, in New York in June.

Now the question arises that whether similar rogue element was also behind the killing of Sikh Leader in Canada Hardeep Singh Nijjar or that was the pre planned operation of Indian Govt as alleged by Canadian authorities.

But any of the above scenarios holds true, one thing is certain that Indian govt of BJP was in the know of things whether in US or Canada but they came out with their twisted version only after the foreign govt’s threatened to take the issue head on, and this behavior of Modi’s govt shows how effectively he is masterminding things against India’s self perceived enemies.

Just a cursory look on the above details given, whether detention of Kejriwal or silencing media to freezing Congress bank accounts etc. And the impunity and lack of check BJP enjoys in the state of India, one can safely say that the Hindu Right Wing is the new establishment of World’s largest democracy.
