BJP Obsession with Pakistan Reaches the Point of Insanity
BJP Leader Devendra Fadnavis recently said that Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, would be part of India one day
WEB DESK: The elevation of extremism in India under BJP rule has taken new heights with radicalism and racial superiority taking over the rooted values of secularism in India.
Several statements have come out from different leaders of the ruling BJP against Pakistan, diminishing all possibilities of developing healthy relations between the neighbors.
Recently, a statement was given by BJP Leader Devendra Fadnavis who said that Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, would be part of India one day.
The remark had come after the controversy which emerged after Shiv Sena, a rightist extremist party of India, asked a shop owner to omit the word Karachi from his shop named Karachi Sweets.
Such is the obsession of the Indians with Pakistan that it somehow manages to remain part of discussions in India.
Be it of terror incidents or any other mishap, the rhetoric of blaming Pakistan and enjoy exoneration from dereliction of duties is in vogue.

In Modi regime, spewing hatred against Pakistan is considered to be a vote-getting tactic too as the anti-Pakistan narrative sells in the neighboring country.
Particularly since Narendra Modi has come into power, the secular face of India is tarnished.
The things that had never happened in the biggest democracy of the world now happen frequently, with perpetrators given an open field for malpractices.
The minorities in the country, particularly Muslims, face discrimination and even beating for not complying with the demands of the unruly extremists.
The level of tolerance and endurance that has come into the limelight several times in India after the BJP government has put the country in a precarious condition.
Contrarily, there are several shops in different parts of Pakistan which are named after the Indian cities.
They either existed before partition or the people who set them up migrated to Pakistan and chosen the names in commemoration.
Unlike Modi regime, there is no such threat of omitting Indian capital’s name from the shop’s name in Pakistan.
Even of other Indian cities.
We even have Bombay Bakery in our Hyderabad.
The biggest city of Pakistan probably has the biggest heart as there is a Banaras and a Delhi Colony there too. Along with it, there is a Delhi Gate in Lahore.
The BJP leader has certainly made such a statement to gain cheap fame, but such remarks only worsen the already strained relations between the two countries.
Maybe this is what the BJP wants. They want to survive in politics by selling hatred.
