According to Mohammad Khorasani, in the first meeting between the parties, it was decided by consensus that the Afghan government would play the role of mediator between the parties. The parties will form five-member committees. These committees will discuss the future course of action and the demands of the parties under the supervision of a mediator.

According to Muhammad Khorasani, it was agreed between the parties that there would be a ceasefire from November 1 to November 30, 2021. On November 1, 102 prisoners will be handed over to the banned TTP by the Afghan government, and on the same day, the parties will issue a joint statement.

Mohammad Khorasani has alleged that the government of Pakistan issued a unilateral statement on November 9 instead of November 1. 102 prisoners have not been released so far. The banned TTP committee was present at the appointed place on October 31 but the government committee Has not come since.

Mohammad Khorasani has also accused the security forces of violating the ceasefire. He also complained about raids on banned TTP strongholds in the tribal districts and the killing of his comrades.

He said that the parties had unanimously appointed the Afghan government as mediator but the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry A spokesman for the outlawed TTP said in a statement that it was “impossible” to move the ceasefire forward.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had revealed in an interview with Al Jazeera TV this year that talks were underway with the government’s banned TTP and Baloch separatists. Announced a ceasefire agreement.
