Defense Minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Khawaja Asif has claimed that the decision to disqualify Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was taken two to three days ago.
The question arises about who told Khawaja Muhammad Asif that the decision had been made two to three days ago.
Asif, while talking to Hum News, said that every individual has his own thoughts and no one can stop him. If PTI is thinking then no one can stop it from thinking too, he added
In response to a question, Khawaja Asif said that two or three days ago it was announced that the decision would be pronounced on such and such a day and there was no hurry.
Anchorperson Saadul Hassan asked that there was no signature of an ECP member on the Toshakhana verdict. To which the Defense Minister replied that is there any provision for this in the law.
In response to the question of senior journalist and anchor person Muhammad Malik, the defence minister said, “We are not having talks about anything not it will happen.”
He said that the one who calls others corrupt has proved himself to be the biggest corrupt. Those who declared Imran Khan as Sadiq and Amin should think today. In the past too, big punishments were given for minor things. All narratives of Khan will be exposed soon, he added.
Analysts said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is an independent body which is not being controlled by the government and is independent in its decisions.
They questioned who was making the decision, if the decision was being made by the election commission, then who was telling the government ministers from within the institution that such and such a verdict would be made?
Analysts added that if ECP was not the decisionmaker then whether it was Khawaja Asif who was making decisions against Imran Khan. The government should clarify Asif’s statement about who made the decision three to four days ago and who told Khawaja Asif.
