Significant progress has been made in the case of defamation of Rs.100 crore against singer Meesha Shafi by renowned singer Ali Zafar in the Sessions Court of Lahore, the provincial capital. The hearing was adjourned till December 22 due to unavailability of lawyers.
According to details, Meesha Shafi finally reached the court order to complete her cross-examination in the contempt case filed by Ali Zafar in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Khan Mahmood in Lahore Sessions Court.

Singer Meesha Shafi later told the media in the courtroom that after the incident, many women from the showbiz industry contacted her. The women from the showbiz industry talked about the incidents of harassment with them. The names of women in the industry have not been mentioned. Stand with the truth. The outcome of this case will be good. The first time I was summoned to court, I was present. The media has misreported this case. I have never been to court before. I have lost a lot of money because of this case.
Singer Meesha Shafi appeared before the court and completed her appearance but her lawyers could not appear due to being busy in the High Court due to which the court adjourned the proceedings till December 22 due to unavailability of lawyers.
It should be noted that Ali Zafar’s lawyers completed cross-examination on the statement of Meesha Shafi’s mother Saba Hameed.
