The political leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa surprisingly showed political maturity and agreed on the name of former Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan as caretaker chief minister.
Yesterday, a meeting was held between Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and opposition leader Akram Khan Durrani, in which the name of former Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan was unanimously approved as caretaker chief minister.
After consensus was reached on the name of Azam Khan in the meeting, Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and Opposition Leader Akram Khan Durrani signed the summary of appointing Azam Khan as Caretaker Chief Minister and shook hands with smiles.

On this occasion, Akram Durrani said that Azam Khan is our unanimous candidate for caretaker chief minister.
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan said that for the first time in history, the name of caretaker chief minister was unanimously agreed upon and we agreed on Azam Khan in consultation with our leader.
Azam Khan has held other posts including Chief Secretary and he has also been a former Caretaker Federal Minister. He has also been the Federal Secretary of the Ministries of Petroleum and Religious Affairs.
