Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar said Pakistan Army would offer tea and water to the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders if they come to Rawalpindi.
During a presser on Monday, ISPR DG added that there was no reason for the PDM parties to come to the garrison city.
“We don’t want to indulge in things that we are not entitled to do”, ISPR DG added.
Regarding recurring charges by PDM leaders on Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army General Qamar Bajwa for interfering in the electoral process, Babar Iftikhar responded that allegations must be answered only if they hold some truth.
Earlier on Sunday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed had challenged the coalition of opposition parties that they should visit Rawalpindi if they had the valor.
Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman had been vocal about the involvement of the armed forces in the elections and accused it of interfering in bringing Prime Minister Imran Khan into power.
