The federal cabinet has restored the weekend in the country to overcome the energy crisis and save energy.

The working group had proposed a 33% reduction in the fuel quota for all government officials. This reduction will not apply to government operational vehicles, including ambulances, and municipal and police vehicles.

The working group also proposed a work-from-home one day a week. The proposal stated that government employees would be allowed to work from home one day a week. ۔ Private sector employees will also be encouraged to work from home one day a week.

The working group also recommended a series of street lights. In this regard, under the national program, the street and public lights will be turned off in collaboration with the provincial and local governments.

The working group had recommended to the federal cabinet that all business markets and wedding halls across the country be closed at 10 pm, while cafes, restaurants, and pharmacies were exempted from the ban.

The working group on Sunday opposed a proposal to move vehicles around the clock and use daylight in major cities to reduce the speed limit on motorways and highways, and double toll tax for single-driver cars. He also opposed the proposal to bring Avon and Ad numbers-based vehicles on the roads at one-day intervals.
