Faisal Vawda, Javed Latif level serious allegations against two ex-chief justices

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Faisal Vawda and senior PML-N leader Javed Latif accused the two former chief justices of indulging in favouritism and bribe.

Speaking on local TV show, Senator Faisal Vawda using harsh language for former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan Justice (retd) Rana Shamim said he should be hanged and beaten with shoes because he was defaming the judiciary. Vawda was of the view that Rana Shamim was creating an environment of bloodshed in the country. The former top GB judge was maligning the honest and gentleman judges, the senator said.

He said that Rana Shamim must be punished for his act. Why his conscience had waken up after three years, he questioned.

Senator Faisal Vawda said that the son of justice (retd) Rana Shamim was appointed Advocate General by Nawaz Sharif in 2015. He was made the chairman of the council.

The affidavit of Rana Shamim has been rejected by ex-CJ Saqib Nisar, he added.

On the other hand, speaking on a TV programme PML-N senior leader Javed Latif said that according to the Rana Shamim’s statement former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was awarded sentence on someone’s demand.

He alleged that Saqib Nisar was member of a Whatsapp group of powerful people.
